Pay healthcare costs in instalments
This is how it works
- you choose the monthly amount: €25, €50, €75, €100 or €150, depending on the amount of your bill and you start paying when you receive the bill for healthcare costs.
- Any new bill is automatically add.
- We will increase the monthly amount if it is too high to pay within 12 months.
- You can always pay more if you want.
- You can modify the payment in instalments (Zorgkosten Betalen in Delen) or cancel it at any time.
- You won't have to pay any extra costs.
Your application succeeds if:
- you pay by direct debit;
- we have automatically debited your premium at least once.
You can arrange to pay healthcare costs instalments at any time
You can arrange this even before you've received a bill and the instalments will start from the date we receive the bill. We will let you know when we receive a bill that will be debited in instalments. The overview will show the monthly debit dates. If you've already received a bill and would like to pay it in instalments, your instalments will start from the date you apply.
Modify or pay an extra amount
You can easliy modify the monthly amount in Mijn Zilveren Kruis. If you would like to pay an extra amount or even pay the outstanding amount in full, you can also do that in Mijn Zilveren Kuirs. You could also opt to pay part or the full amount with iDEAL.

If I've received a reminder, can I still apply to pay my healthcare costs in instalments?
Yes, you can and you apply for payment in instalments up to the 3rd reminder.
Can I modify my current payment plan to a healthcare costs payment in instalments?
If you apply to pay healthcare costs in instalments and you are currently on a payment plan, the outsanding amount will automatically be included. You can arrange this directly in Mijn Zilveren Kruis by logging in with DigiD and SMS verification or the DigiD app.
What happens if my bill is too high to be able to pay within 12 months?
In this case, we will increase your monthly payment amount or work with you we will try to find another option. Please, don't hesitate to contact us.
What kind of healthcare costs can I pay for with healthcare costs payment in instalments?
This is for the payment of the excess, the statutory personal contribution or healthcare costs that are partially reimbursed because the maximum reimbursement has been reached and if you visit a non-contracted care provider.
What happens if I stop the healthcare costs payment in instalments?
You will continue to pay the outstanding amount in instalments or you can choose to pay the full amount. Any new bills will no longer be added automatically.
I would like to cancel my insurance policy but I've still got an ongoing payment in instalments. What should I do?
You can pay the outstanding amount in full and then cancel your insurance policy.
